Das Whetsel Haus started with a simple idea: Abilene deserved a space where the coffee was worth waking up for, and the drinks were worth staying out late for. Not two separate places — one honest spot that works hard at both.

We chose Glenhaven Drive because it's where the neighborhood lives. Not too central to feel rushed, not too hidden to feel like a trek. Just the right kind of easy to find when you know you need it.

Everything we serve — the coffee, the cocktails, the pastries — is chosen with the same question: would we actually want this on our own counter? If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't make it onto the menu.
